Alright for The Pink Panther cartoon fans

I haven't really seen a lot of The Pink Panther cartoons when I was growing up, and I assume the little that I've seen must have passed me like water passes rocks; I enjoyed the colorful world and the cute panther itself (herself, himself?!), but the stories told and the attitude and the pop culture nods had had to escape me, as I really was too young to get them. As such, this game kind of finds me unprepared to appreciate it, not because it's bad, nope, it seems like a perfectly legitimate and well crafted adventure, but, like I said, I don't have the love for the Panther's world, or the nostalgia trip that it must rely on to be enjoyed. Otherwise, it's gonna be a heavy talk and respond game, and the bits that are more interactive seem to be classic puzzle bits, from your regular adventure game. Nothing bad with that, but nothing too enticing either. So, I guess that's my point, this game will feel better in the hands of seasoned The Pink Panther people that appreciated the animated series. Also, for these, the Toonstruck Adventure might also feel right.

Pink Panther adventure

You thought that movie licensed games might result in a disaster? Well, how about games based on famous cartoons? Just like movie licensed ones, these game have their share of both good and bad games. For example, Tom & Jerry on the Nintendo Entertainment System had mostly capitalized on the characters, rather than on the cartoon and yet it was a great game. The Pink Panther Passport to Peril, on the other hand, is an unfortunate game that didn't do well for me. While it tried to become some sort of educational game, we didn't want the Pink Panther to take part. While the humor is strong, the isn't and it's unfortunate. The plot is stupid, but I will not bother trying to say a plot from an "educational" game. While the graphics are colorful and nice, the voice acting is horrible and I mean horrible beyond belief. The gameplay is nothing special and doesn't help the game at all. In conclusion, The Pink Panther Passport to Peril is one of the worst cartoon licensed games out there and I don't wish for any gamer of fan of the cartoon to stumble upon it.
