Brings a great feature, but it becomes tiresome

Wing Commander Academy is a 1993 action game where you control a young recruit that has to test his skills. This game resembles the second game of the series, only that it has no plot. You will engage in dogfights, and the interface will offer you a view similar to a radar. You can design your own missions but those that prefer a more complex gameplay, they will feel like their progress will be less satisfying, lacking also of a real sense of personal achievements. The action will also make you tired, becoming more difficult. The fact that you will try to defeat endless waves of enemy ships, will be indeed tiresome. The missions can be created with up to four navigation points, and each navigation points can have up to eight items, like fighters, pilots, asteroid fields, space stations, and so forth). The controls are tight and you can choose even the challenges that await you in your progress. The fact that there is no storyline, this won't affect your appreciation for Wing Commander Academy, and its solid gameplay and flight engine will keep your interest at high levels. Those that expected a multiplayer mode will be disappointed, and this will badly influence the game's long-term charm. I say this because it is a pity not to enjoy the action and your own created missions to the fullest, and the only way to do that is with a friend. Am I right?
